Microelectronics Mfg II
Description:
This course focuses on techniques used to evaluate and improve CMOS manufacturing. Topics include query processing, measuring factory performance, factory modeling and scheduling, cycle time management, cost of ownership, defect reduction and yield enhancement, reliability, 6 sigma manufacturing, process modeling and RIT's advanced CMOS process. There is a lab for the on campus section (01) and a graduate paper for the distance learning section (90). Laboratory experiences are related to the operation of the student run integrated circuit factory. Silicon wafers are processed through a complete CMOS process.
