| Broad sociological issues affecting women, work and culture are a result of the emerging global economy and technological revolution. The course will consider how the process of gender socialization is complicated by the way in which gender intersects with racial, class ethnic, sexual, and other identities. This course will present the major theoretical perspectives employed in sociology and women's studies and consider how they related to the study of women, work and culture.
