Description:
This course explores feminist critiques of Western science and technology by investigating the ways in which gender, power and politics shape the content and context of science and technology. Particular attention is placed upon social and cultural dimensions of scientific and technological practices including the development of theory, method and application. Part of the women's and gender studies concentration and minor. May also be taken as an elective. Cross-listed with science and technology studies, 0508-452. Class 4, Credit 4 (offered occasionally)
