Description: |
| The City of Rochester will serve as a laboratory for perspectives and insights in the sociology and the anthropology of urban and community studies. Students will observe and assess the workings of the city's social order within various historical and social contexts. The course will examine the industrial transformation of this city, the diversity of its major population groups and dynamics of these group's interrelations, and the city's past and present process of policy formation. This course may be used as an elective for the urban and community studies degree program; part of the sociology concentration; as a general education elective; or as a free elective.
