| Students are introduced to fundamental system administration topics and technologies that serve as the basis for later course work in system administration. Topics covered include; ethics and system administration, the law and system administration, and the role of the system administrator in organizations. Technologies covered include: computing resource management, the TCP/IP protocol suite, the Domain name Service (DNS), the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), and the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP).
